The Herman Miller Mirra 1 and Mirra 2 side by side

The second generation was 30 per cent lighter, with a looped backrest that is attached to the chair at two points and therefore flexes when you reach out to the side.

What a refurbished Mirra office chair goes through at Offeco

Every Mirra is first taken apart. Our technicians test the tilt mechanism and the gas spring. We replace worn castors and sagging upholstery on the armrests. We repair anything that no longer operates smoothly, using new, original parts. We then thoroughly clean the seat and backrest.

The focus varies from one generation to the next. With a Mirra 1, we pay particular attention to the tilt mechanism of a chair that has been in use for years. With a Mirra 2, we mainly check the attachment points of the looped backrest, as that is what gives that generation its flexibility.

Every refurbished Mirra office chair is dispatched with:

Fast delivery
90-day cooling-off period
4.6/5 from over 500 reviews on Trustpilot

This ensures an existing chair remains in use rather than a new one being manufactured. This is in keeping with the Mirra’s origins: in 2003, it was the first office chair that Herman Miller designed entirely in accordance with its own environmental protocol. The same principle applies to the rest of our range of refurbished office chairs, from Steelcase to Vitra.

Once you know which generation you’re looking for, you can filter above by backrest, armrests and castors to choose your Mirra office chair. With a 90-day cooling-off period, you’ll have plenty of time to try it out at home.
